The issues below are common problems teachers have with updating LockDown Browser. If neither of these things describe the issue you're having, submit a ticket to Respondus company and they will get back to you. Be sure to be thorough as you describe the problem.
Red Stop Sign
Are you getting a red stop sign when you try to open LockDown Browser in your Canvas course?
- Check the titles of all your tests for emojis -- they often cause this behavior
- Check the quiz questions for emojis -- they can also cause this behavior
Once you've deleted any emoji from these places, go back into LockDown Browser and it should let you load the page.
Test Settings Not Updating
If your course is associated with a Blueprint course, and the quiz is locked for editing, you will not be able to update test settings inside your quiz or LockDown Browser in your course. Ask the Blueprint teacher to unlock the quiz, then you'll be able to make the needed changes in LockDown browser for your specific course.
